What does Kahoot! look like in the classroom?
Kahoot starts with a question that is asked on the teacher's computer, which is displayed on the TV screen. Students can read the question, or the teacher can read it aloud to the class.
Students then are shown answer choices on the screen. They correspond with a color / shape. On the student's device they only see the shape / color options.
Students are given time to answer the question. After all of the students answer, or the time expires, the results of the question are shown. Students will know if they got it right or wrong by the color of their screen. The class will see a bar graph on the teacher's screen / TV that shows the number of students who selected each answer.
After each question, students are shown a leaderboard of the top 5 scores. This is usually their favorite part of the activity.
